High Tech Modern Residence

This modern home is considered the client’s Main House that will be constructed adjacent to the Pool House / Guest House. The clients wanted a modern and clean style home with state of the art features all throughout their home. They aimed for their guest home to transition seamlessly to their main home while also having plenty of outdoors spaces, a pool, and a basketball court for entertainment.

The client’s desire for an open plan concept with a strong connection to the outdoor living areas set the central core of the design. The interior spatial progression steps with the grade creating visual focal points along the journey. As you continue, the ceiling height raises and lowers creating unexpected spatial compressions and expansions. These ceiling changes emphasize the scale of each space while creating distinction along the spatial journey. The architect designed an open U-shaped staircase that is designed to frame the client’s baby grand piano, the staircase becomes a collage of art as each focal point is layered and juxtaposed against one another. The master bath is designed with clean modern lines that are heighted by placement, material, contrast and continuity, ceiling differentiation, accent walls, and plenty of ambient lighting to set the right mood. As you walk through the open staircase, you are taken immediately into the game room. This game room incorporates a pool table and small sitting area that allows you to enjoy the outdoor views. The game room also includes a double door unit that allows the client to have access to the outdoors right from their second floor. There is also plenty of space for their ping pong table and another outdoor sitting area. The 2nd master suite incorporates a full bath and WIC. The daughter of the client will utilize this space and will have the luxury of having full access through a bridge to get into the dance studio from the bedroom.
